High Octane Action at the FMSCI Indian National Rally Sprint Championship for Two-Wheelers on December 14 and 15 !!
Pune, December 11: The final and decisive round of the Indian National Rally Sprint Championship for 2 Wheelers (INRSC), organized under the auspices of the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI), the national governing body of motorsports in India, will be held in Pune. The top and best riders of India will participate in the finals to determine the national champion and Punekars will be able to witness the thrill of this two-wheeler sprint rally. There will be no entry fee for spectators and all sports enthusiasts will have free entry.
In the press release about this exciting competition, Mr. Farad Bhathena of FB Motorsports, who has been 3-time National Rally Champion and winner of the prestigious Great Desert Himalayan Rallies, said that after 5 preliminary rounds held in various states of the country in 2024, the final round of this competition will be held at the grounds of the Nanoli Speedway in Kamshet near Pune on 14th and 15th December 2024. Around 150 top riders from each zone who have qualified for this final round in their class will participate in this competition and the national champions will be crowned.
Eurogrip, the leading 2-Wheeler tyre manufacturer, has come in as the Title Sponsor of the Final Round of the Championship and will be providing the tyres for the competition.
Farad Bhathena is a well-known rally driver himself and is known as ‘Big Foot’ in the Indian motor sports circles. Farad has participated in more than 200 rallies and races in India and South-East Asia. BBC Top Gear India has ranked him among the top 10 drivers in the country.

The FMSCI has granted FB Motorsports the rights to organize the Indian National Rally Sprint Two-Wheeler Championship for a period of 5 years from 2024 to 2028. The rallies run on a variety of terrains, including dirt, tarmac and mixed surfaces, enabling a thrilling racing experience for riders and creating a unique format that offers a captivating blend of excitement and strategy.
The finals in Pune will see national champions Sachin D., Nataraj, Asad Khan, Rehana, Sinan Francis, Rajendra, Stephen Roy, Shamim Khan and Syed Asif Ali fighting for the title. Other top riders like Suhail Ahmed, Yuva Kumar, Amogh Nag, Mumbai’s Badal Doshi, Pune’s Pinkesh Thakkar, Hansraj Saikia, Madhuriya Jyoti Rabha and Banteilang Jyrwa will also be participating.
This year’s rally championship started in June 2024. The first round was held at the Madras International Circuit in Chennai, being the first South Zone round. The second South Zone round was held in Bangalore on July 21. The third round was the West Zone held on September 21 in Pune, the fourth round the Central/North Zone in Indore on October 5, and the East Zone round was held in Guwahati on November 24. The top five riders in each group from all these qualifying rounds have reached the final round and the riders who have made it to the final round will put their skills to the test. There will be 11 classes (groups) in the final round of the Indian National Rally Sprint Championship, viz. (1) Group A upto 550cc Open (2) Group A upto 550cc Privateer (3) Group B 131 upto 165cc (4) Group B 166 upto 260cc (5) Group B 261 upto 400cc (6) Group B Bullet upto 550cc (7) Group B Scooter upto 210cc (8) Group B Ladies upto 260cc (9) Group B Veterans upto 260cc (10) Group D upto 260cc (11) Group D 261 upto 450cc. There will also be a Champion Team and Manufacturer declared at the Finals.
The Rally Sprint is an exciting motorsport race. Each stage is 6 to 10 kilometres long. In this, riders showcase their skills on dirt, asphalt tracks or on rugged tracks in the mountains to reach the finish line. From tight corners to high-speed straights, each course presents its own set of challenges, demanding precise control and quick decision-making. With precision riding, competitors navigate treacherous twists and turns, facing jumps, hairpin bends and unexpected obstacles, whilst racing to the finish in the fastest time possible.
